Privacy at a glance

This website is a private presentation of my professional background. It contains no contact form and uses no tracking or analytics services. This policy explains, pursuant to the GDPR, what data is nevertheless processed and what rights you have.

Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (hosting provider). Personal data that arises when this website is accessed — in particular IP address, date and time of access — is stored on the hosting provider's servers.

The use of the hosting provider serves my legitimate interest in a secure, fast and reliable provision of this website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Server log files

When this website is accessed, the provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files that your browser automatically transmits: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing device, time of the server request, and the IP address.

This data is not merged with data from other sources. Collection is based on the legitimate interest in a technically error-free presentation and security of the website.

Contacting me

If you contact me by email or phone, your details — including any contact data you provide — will be stored by me in order to process your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. I do not pass on this data without your consent.

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to the initiation of a contract (e.g. an employment relationship), and otherwise on my legitimate interest in handling inquiries addressed to me (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

CV download (double opt-in)

To download the PDF CV, you provide your name and email address on the Request CV page (required), plus optionally your position, company and phone number. You then receive a confirmation link by email (double opt-in). Only after clicking that link is the download unlocked.

Your details are used to verify your request and — once you've clicked the confirmation link — to log your request in my CRM, so I know who has requested my CV and can follow up. I also receive an internal notification. Your data is not used for newsletters or marketing, and is not passed on to third parties for marketing purposes.

Processing by Supabase

For the technical implementation of the double opt-in (sending the confirmation link, verification) I use the service Supabase (Supabase Inc.), hosted in Frankfurt am Main (EU). The legal basis is your consent, given by providing and confirming your details (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with Supabase. The PDF CV itself is a static file hosted directly on my own web server and is not provided via Supabase.

CRM record and internal notification

Once confirmed, your name, email address and, if provided, position, company and phone number are stored as a request ("lead", source "Lebenslauf Download") in my own CRM system, self-hosted at crm.amann.one. I also send myself an internal notification via the communication service Slack (Slack Technologies LLC) so I can respond promptly.

You can request deletion of your data at any time, informally, at christoph@amann.one; you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Fonts (Google Fonts)

This website uses the fonts "Archivo" and "Hanken Grotesk", provided by Google, for a consistent presentation of typefaces. When a page is accessed, your browser loads the required fonts from Google's servers (Google Ireland Limited), which means Google becomes aware that this website was accessed from your IP address.

This use is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy.

This website contains a link to my LinkedIn profile (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). This is a simple hyperlink — no LinkedIn plugins are embedded, and merely visiting this website does not transmit any data to LinkedIn. Only when you actively click the link will you be redirected to LinkedIn, where LinkedIn's privacy policy applies.

Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to free information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as the right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17) or restriction of processing (Art. 18) of this data. You also have a right to object to processing (Art. 21) and a right to data portability (Art. 20).

In the event of a data protection violation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI BW), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
